Q My court has sent me "accelerated possession proceedings" forms. What does this mean?
A Where a landlord can show that a fixed term tenancy has come to an end, and/or the tenant has been given at least 2 months notice, then the landlord can apply to court for possession based on an affidavit. Unless you reply the court will grant possession to your landlord based on the paperwork (as long as it has been completed correctly)
In such cases you must get the paperwork checked ASAP, as otherwise the court will usually give possession 14 days after considering the application.
